The Library at Dr. Joseph Samuel Clark Elementary School is a learning lab that is student-centered. We provide instruction and resources that meet the needs of our patrons reading levels, interests and educational needs.
We support the academic goals of Dr. Joseph Samuel Clark Elementary School by encouraging collaboration and enthusiastic cooperation with our teachers to assist them in delivering world-class instruction in order to prepare our students for a global economy.
We open at 7:30 each morning and close at 3:30p.m. Students may come to the library before and after school, and when they have a pass from their teacher.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be held the week of September 26. Please support the Book Fair. The money we raie helps to provide books and other learning resources to our students. It is an ideal time to build a child's or classroom's library. We look forward to your support!

About Us
Librarian - Ms. Shannan L. Hicks
Ms. Hicks is a graduate of Caddo Magnet High School. She received her B.A and her MLIS at LSU. She received her law degree at Tulane University. She loves reading, sewing and crochet. Ms. Hicks loves to get kids excited about reading and using information.
Library Clerk - Mrs. Renee Banks
Mrs. Banks has been employed with the Caddo Parish School Board for 18 years. She has been married to the love of her life for 21 years. She is also proud and blessed to be the mother of 3 wonderful children. Her love for children inspired her to pursue a career with the Caddo Parish School Board.
